What are the best sites to search for upcoming coin shows?

Any suggestions as to where to go?

    .
depends on which shows you are talking about.

there is a calendar produced that includes all the biggies on it but if you are looking more localized, say no more than 4 hours from where you live, show promoters/owners and clubs usually have flyers or a web site that gives dates/times etc for shows in that area, city/state/multi-state.

once you get out or a show or two, you can just ask dealers. they usually volunteer info about other shows, especially if they attend the other ones. getting feet on the bourse for them is a good thing. image

I like Coin World's show guide, which is available free on their website.

However, it usually only list shows a few weeks ahead of time, which can be something of a problem if you live in an area that mostly has annual or semi-annual shows or if you need a lot of lead time to plan your trip.

Your other option is to post here and ask which shows you should go to in a specific geographic area.

(The more specific your question, the better the replies.)

edited to add: Many dealers list on their websites the shows they attend, sometimes they list the shows six months ahead of time or more. Often, these are the national shows we all know about, but sometimes they attend regional shows, too.

This is the Best I Have Found.
Scroll down, select your region etc. It's pretty darn good. If I recall though, the site does not work right with IE...use FF or Chrome I think. image

    I like Numismaster.com as well.
Broken down by state from the big national shows down to the 10 table local shows.

  • Google searches usually help me find shows but you could also ask the board members
where show are in the range and period of your travel ability. We generally keep up with
shows in our areas and are glad to inform other members. So in this case,
    Google & C U are your friends.

As mentioned, depends on what you are looking for.

Big shows? Regional shows? Local shows?

Up here in the PNW, there is a site run by one of the local clubs and they list the local shows and also capture the larger shows (FUN, etc). You may have a local club to where you live that does similar.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

For the small show I put in in New Market, MD, the best responses come from CoinShows.com and CoinZip.com. New attendees I ask how they found out about the show and these are the ones mentioned. Numismatic News and Coin World come in 3rd and 4th.

For local shows visit your state numismatic association website, assuming you have one.
  • Thank you everyone for your suggestions, I really appreciate the information.

I think we all know what site I like.......... image

All kidding aside, its FREE to list shows on CZ and there is no annoying popup advertisements. You can search by state, or enter your Zip Code and select a mileage radius.
