A fake 93S in PCGS plastic.

Almost sounds as if the seller thinks it's a genuine Morgan. I gave he or she the bad news.

"This auction is for an 1893 S mint Morgan Silver Dollar in PCGS graded au50 condition. I bought this coin several years ago at an estate sale when I was getting into collecting coins but as the years went by, my desire to collect has waned and now I could use the money for some upcoming bills. Bidding starts at .99 with no reserve or BIN. If you have any questions, please please ask before the close of the auction. I am offering a 3 day return policy on this item. Pictures are of the exact item you will be receiving."

The 1889-CC photos are so blurry it's impossible to tell much of anything.

1893-S and 1885-CCs reported.

Thanks Dennis, I wasn't even in counterfeit squashing mode and still found em.

EDIT: Thought Ebay had a counterfeit detection task force in-place?

I would question the 1889-CC based on the fact that the 9 in the date seems to be higher than the rest of the date. But the pic is blurry and it is tough to tell.

The 89-CC screams fake to me. Should be removed in my opinion.

'93-S and both '85-CCs have been yanked by eBay.

All gone except the 89-CC.. Too blurry a photo to tell. In this day and age if you cannot provide a good picture for a coin, the coin is suspect and well should be. If it is a real coin, then the seller deserves whatever he gets for it and the sale will be most likely below par value. I support the idea that any blurry photo of a coin is reason for removal- fake or not. Ebay should require better photography and remove all listings with such photos as these. It no longer takes a professional photographer to get at least a decent clear photo of coins-for heavens sake, even almost any cell phone will do the trick. Not much practice required.

This is an ebay rule on coins. Pics have to be clear is a requirement.
