Ebay Seller "deverhart101" AVOID

Guy has no feedback and is currently pushing some wheat pennies as worth a ton of money but it is a bunch of 1940-50s coins. Claims 1909 but there are none and there are vdb pennies--one from 1918 and 1919 lol.

Pushed some BS story about winning lottery and does not care about the coins-I've heard that one before.

Just have a lookout for this guy. He has multiple ebay accounts and I just caught this one early.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

I think the term shill could be used for that...
  • That one bid bothers me but it was an early bid and it is from an account with 0 feedback so most likely just another one of his accounts.

Do people really have that much time on their hands they can play this juggling act of having multiple accounts and bidding/leaving feedback on their own stuff just to ATTEMPT to lure an actual person to bid and they can make -what, a $150 bucks?

Doesn't that seem like a lot of effort for the payoff?

What do these types of warnings have to do with PCGS?

  • There's a seller I've been following for months and even reported him but still pulling his crap. There's "another person" that has zero feedback and 100% of his bidding is with this one seller. Ironically, every auction from this seller that this "other person" wins, ends up being relisted shortly after auction end. I think this "other person" has won at least 50 auctions and hasn't paid for one item. image

Seller is still having to pay FVF fees on everything he purchases from himself.

That's the big question. Hopefully if he is requesting FVF refunds ebay will see it quickly!

Anybody needing help in avoiding auctions like that have no business buying stuff online, if you ask me.
  • Here's a link to one of his auctions. If you check out his sold/completed listings, you will see almost every one has a bidder listed as "O***N (0)". Then click on "O***N" and check out his bid history. 100% with the seller in question and has zero feedback. Then if you want to do some more digging, (primarily in his older listings with a lot of Kangaroos and Pandas), "O***N" won several auctions and then that same item was relisted. He's caused a lot of people to pay way more for an item than they should have. It looks like he's slowed down doing this but like I said, I did report him a while back so maybe that's why.

Local Coin Expert Valued all on the low end of scale and not one was worth less than 30 dollars with one 630 same coin on high end over 2,000 dollars."

Nothing. They don't belong here (read forum rules), yet they persist.... and it bugs me (see signature ;o)
