It's weird looking and my first thought on seeing the obverse was that someone took an eraser to the high points. It's in a PCGS holder, but doesn't appear to be original skin. Thoughts?

I don't know if there is anything wrong with it; perhaps surprising is that I'm more concerned about the fields on
this coin.....almost looks like it was lacquered or something, and then circulated afterward for a while.
If you are looking to purchase that particular date I would wait for another coin to come along
The reverse looks suspect.
There is a stunning PCGS-40 on Ebay that is stunning (Not my coin)
