Lima Peru 2 Reales - value assistance please

I'm trying to locate price guide information for my 1809 Lima Peru 2 Reales. It is graded VF-35, and it is Beautifully toned!

Any help is appreciated.

If i'm not mistaken, 1809 is a key date in 2R series from Lima. Not sure about the price, sorry.

I found the same. NGC has no pricing data except that they list it as RARE.

Maybe others can assist.

5th edition Krause lists it also as RARE, and as is usual the Rare pieces have no pricing assigned. So I suppose it is what one will pay for the opportunity to own a truly Rare Peru 2 Reale.

The 1808 is listed at $300 in very fine but it is not Rare. If you auction it, one could say that the sale price is its actual worth. I do not agree with that assertion due to the finite exposure in both time and potential buyers, to be a definitive pricing model.

What have other world Rarities in circulated condition sale for? How popular is the series? and other questions you could put to it in trying to determine an value.

This one at Heritage, on the other hand, sold for $100 in 2008.
