<< <i>The present lustrous and nicely struck example displays peach-gold toning at the margins >>
Every time see a silver dollar described with peach toning, I can't help but think of Lavere Redfield . . .
. . . Wonder why that is ? ! ? !

Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
appreciate the input guys but those holders aren't attributed. just the generic pcgs #.
7088 on the 79-cc is the general pcgs #
7138 on the o/s is the general pcgs #- this thing is a BEAST - i guess even the people with $40k coins still don't like the 24 attrib fee
133965 on the 01 ddr is the official attrib pcgs # and is at risk if the 62+ with the generic pcgs # gets attributed!

<< <i>An 1878 VAM-215 was being sold at a show for over 200K. >>
A Proof Morgan obviously, and a bird of a different feather than a business strike. There are very few VAM 215's extant, and no VAM 215's extant above PR-64, The $200K+ example would have represented a once in a lifetime opportunity for a collector of the Morgan Dollar Proof coin complete set to finish it. Rare Coin Wholesalers had the Richmond Collection specimen (NGC PF-64) priced at nearly $1/3M several years ago, so $200K would be a bargain for anyone capable.

can anyone find one in an attributed holder to beat the 01 ddr yet?
the ones posted are amazing to be sure BUT i wanna see that attribution.
i am beginning to wonder if there is a conspiracy to keep the big boy vams out of attributed holder so they DON'T show in the pops!
but i'm a big conspiracy theorist, so ...

You could look at the one on my website, if that will ease your angst.

if your goal was to give me something else to do, i have plenty.
if your goal was to send me on a search to find a holder-attributed vam that beats-out the 01 ddr from the op, nothing on your site is even close?
if i am missing something, let me know!

I don't see any mention of a specific grade above. You just asked for proof that there is a 1901 VAM 3 in a holder w/attribution.

grade is irrelevant for my humble request. if a g04 attributed sells for $60k, then that will work.
the very title of the thread says it all.
i am still wondering if there was a monster on ur site that i missed. i only spent a few minutes looking.
i should have also specified "where the numismatic part of the vam is the a big part of the value" not a 93-s in ms68 that is attrib to some random vam.
still hoping someone can turn up something above this one. i am asking for a very specific and personal reason and of course for the fun of topping the one in the OP.
