Ah, was that what I have been promising you?

I did NOTHING but crop the photo.....but (battery ran out so I can take other pics right now), it is mirrory but not as strong on the toning until tilted.

I know nothing about Ike's, but I sure would like to have that one.

<< <i>Okay, okay. I'll give you $10 bucks for it...but I expect the shipping thrown in for free. >>
What a ripoff...I paid double that
(well, I did pay exactly double that
What would I grade it? Probably PR67 or PR68DCAM.
It is a tad hazy in the center (non-rainbow) portions.

PCGS is tough on Toned IKE Proofs. PR67 but unless some mirroring can be seen, the coin may not even CAM if it grades at all.
The name is LEE!

It's why I said it was all angle to see the toning....
As for getting it graded....wasn't really planning to do anything other than put in the album for the boy.

How about a rainbow Frankie?
It looks like the IGWT might be doubled?

I think it is just an artifact of the flip it was in for that picture.
I was trying to get a couple pics as the battery light was flashing, then died.
I'll try for more, better, pics, later.

<< <i>Well, I like Ike.

How about, "Don't change the team in the middle of the stream". Remember that?
Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.
<< <i>The Ike should grade. With an NT rainbow like that who cares about the numeric grade so long as it gets one? >>
Fair enough.....who knows though? Like I said, I hadn't planned on submitting when I bought it. Maybe I will later if I need to waste a submission (I have the 8 from the membership).

It's a really pretty coin. For twenty bucks, you can't have gone wrong. If the toning is legitimate -- and with the coin in hand you're in a better spot to assess that than any of us, naturally -- this was quite a rip. Was this an ebay buy?

The whole back of the head is doubled
<< <i>That's very pretty, very impressive ... if it's real. I'm not sure I'd buy this one unless I saw it this way inside the brown pack plastic, though. And PCGS plastic wouldn't necessarily convince me either, as I've seen some pretty dubious stuff therein.

Matt, all valid points. I honestly don't know on it as I have seen similar, and been told "NT" and I've seen similar and been told "AT".
I have my own leanings on the coin but, as you said, for $20 I don't think I went wrong either way.
Not an ebay buy....was at a coin show 2 weekends ago.

<< <i>So, you going to show us the reverse at some point? >>
Yeah, when I get home and take care of the fam, then get the battery back into the camera

Mesmerizing.
One question though.
Does natural toning occur in repeating bands of color as exhibited on this piece?
"Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working" Pablo Picasso
Knowledge is the enemy of fear
I knew it would happen.
Another obv shot:
Then, the reverse shots:
Again, the ONLY thing done to the photo is cropping...there were no changes in color or correcting...just the light and distance for the camera while the coin was angled/tilted.

It's worth submitting if you're planning on selling it.

I had to go back into my files (since the coins are in the SDB) and boot up Excel to remember the grade.
I did send it in with some other coins. Came back lower than I thought, PR64, but I didn't buy it for the grade. Bought it for the look that I liked and at a price I was fine with ($20).
Just thought I would circle back to this since I hadn't seen the thread for a few years.
