How much does one have to pay to do a wire? Are those free?

I quit using Gainesville, besides the higher prices, because I couldn't find a way to fix a problem with paying with CC.
It seems that they don't recognize my address on file and my CC company confirmed it was correct. Go figure!

My credit union does it free. BoA does it cheap if you do it on line. Most banks charge $15-20.
When you look at the $20 shipping, not a great deal unless you buy a few.

Some banks will give free wire transfers as a perk if you open one of their high roller accounts and maintain a minimum balance of $25 or $50K. Otherwise it's around $15 to $20.
