1928 Peace Dollar?
Is this a 1928 Dollar? Any diagnostics to determine one way or another? If so, I would get it graded.

The name is LEE!
But I also believe it's a '28 (not '23)
Either way, the year is 1928 not 1923.
Your coin is definitely a strong candidate for the top pop "Liberty screaming please put me out of my misery and melt me!" specimen Peace Dollar.

hmmmmmmm........I think most collectors would buy that one in a heartbeat if a 28p, I know I would. Great hole filler.....28s would be melted away.

<< <i>It definitely looks like a 28 but is that a mintmark there in the rays on the reverse?
good question
I think a S mint mark may still show some sign of a bump
<< <i>I am in the p camp

That's what I was thinking also . . . but it'll prolly be a hard knock getting it into a "P" slab.
