<< <i>That CRO piece has a wonderful strike. >>
Wonderful for the type, at least. Gorgeous coin.

Serious?
One from the early/mid 17th Century is only around $4k. $10k feels very high.

Have you ever seen one nicer?

Nicer? Not sure. But, I've also not built a wealth of expertise on this series. I'm just comparing pricing to a NEN coin sold last year. Very nice detail, obviously choice, but with less color than the CRO piece. The NEN coin was also in the 1600's, not late 1500's.

<< <i>Not an expert in the series either, but I think quality and date were a factor here. Hey, it sold in a matter of days so I guess the price wasn't too far off... >>
That's a fair point, unless the price wasn't $10k.
In any case - that CRO LD sure was a sweet coin. On that, I think we can all agree.

Different date - bluntly struck.....much less.
<< <i>Indeed, that daalder at $10k was listed in their 5/14 earlybird email.

That MS-60 sure won't win any beauty awards.
