  Thanks guys. For some reason I've had some luck with the 51s. Actually the whole set was quite pretty. The icing was the DDR!

  Nice work and Congrats on a beautiful find/pick... The icing always makes the cake better IMO, because too many people eat the cake too fast... Hustlers wait for the icing to be presented on top and then we eat it all

  There have been a couple of recent threads which discuss this particular DDR half dollar. When I first read about this coin on these forums, I pulled out the 1951 proof half dollars I have and took a look. I found that I have one of these coins. It is one of my better variety coins.
