Congratulations! The U.S.S. Anchorage based in San Diego was just commissioned earlier this month here in Alaska and as a "mini- Aircraft Carrier" maybe you could fill in for its Commander on a return voyage. (Pictured is the ship in port [with a view of my office in the distance] followed by its departure sailing as viewed from my office.)
Congratulations on such a great honor -- particularly gratifying to see it coming to someone who endured a lot of hardship to get there. Thank you for your service -- I love the Swiss coin but please give it to a YN if I win.

Ditto on the above. My son is a Marine stationed out of Kaneohe bay in Hawaii but currently on the Korean line. He comes home from that deployment in June if everything stays calm over there.
BTW congrats on recovering from the messy divorce.

Good grief, John. Where did the time go? Seems like just yesterday that you were a young O-3 in Hawaii trying to get a coin business going on the side. Congrats on the promotion. As you may recall from old PMs I retired from the Army as an O-5.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.
A big salute to you Commander! Thank you for your service to this great Country and congrats on your promotion.
My dad was a Marine and my nephew is a relatively new Marine stationed at New River Air Base in NC. He's in the meteorology/oceananic forcasting for the Osprey aircraft.

I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector. Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.

I agree with the others in that you'll need to change your nickname here to CoinCommander.
