  I had one of these once. Had a complete set. My memory is very fuzzy on those sorts of details, though. My gut is telling me San Francisco but I'll guess Denver for the aforementioned reason. Looking forward to the answer!

  Philly would have been my guess as well but believe it or not, Philly was the only mint that did NOT mint eagles in 1986. That's right, S,W and D!

  This is interesting. I thought that the mint identified where coins were minted, except for Philidelphia. Obviously I'm wrong because ASEs w/o mm have been identified in slabs as to their birthplace. Is there any rule, law, etc. that answers this?
