Question for the Numismatic Bibliophiles?

Lets say a rare 150 year old auction catalog became available for the first time in a decade.
It's a sale you've wanted spend some quality time reviewing and have been looking for a copy forever.
Cost is around $110 shipped however the catalog is in such poor shape that in might disintegrate as you flip the pages.
Would you pay or pass

Personally, for that price I'd pick it up. Some of these sales aren't as rare as they seem either as they are privately traded rather than auctioned.

Photocopying it with a scanner would be a very delicate and time consuming procedure.

Yeah...and?
<< <i>It's in original state and has covers but it's so frail they look like they could fall off in transit.
