interesting for sure. I assume you think it was a dropped L from Liberty? However the shape is just a bit off and I can see why you did not get the dropped error.

Dropped letters are clearly indented into the coin; does this coin have an actual indentation, or is it just a variation of the luster? If it is just on the surface, most likely some grease struck through, but if indented, then should have a chance at it.
I agree, PCGS had no way to determine 100% what caused this strike thru.
One more thought, the portion of the strike thru that points upward looks like it could be the lower portion of the L in LIBERTY. So if it is a dropped letter the L would have flipped once from left to right.
Here is one i found a long time ago in a roll. I did not think PCGS will put anything on the holder for it or i would of sent it in so i tossed it in a box.
OK error specialist, this anomaly does not look like your typical dropped letter, but suppose, just suppose this was the next coin to be stamped with a trace of the dropped letter stuck to the obverse die?

Understandably, PCGS felt the same.
Thanks for fixing the link for me!
Yes, it's one of mine.
I added a few more photos.
