1907 Indian head proof penny or business strike?

I know nothing about Indian head cents... but I know what a DMPL morgan looks like and this had some characteristics of one as far as luster goes... So how do you tell the difference when the coin has seen circulation? I find the lettering on this one as compared to a normal brown one to be much "fatter". Thanks for the help

I'm thinking that once a proof is worn down and cleaned and AT it might be difficult to differentiate unless there are some die markers

anyhow since thats a common year it probably doesn't matter much

I can't remember seeing an '07 proof w/o very noticeable die striations, including in the fields. Lettering has no plateau effect. Dentilation not sharp. Etc., etc, Business strike. Where is EagleEye to embarrass me?

The rims should be squared for a proof. This looks like a cleaned business strike.

I agree with business strike. Could have been encased, hence the reason for it being "fatter"

Yea... I'm confused about how much wear it has and having that crisp ring around the rim?

It was broken out of a "Keep Me For Good Luck" encasement. That's why the rim is raised.
