$500. Reward for a Worn Out SAC (details inside)

I've been on the lookout for a problem free worn Sacagawea for awhile now. The more wear, the better.
I haven't had success so thought I'd turn my quest into a sort of reward/challenge.
I'll pay $250. for any dated Sacagawea that grades with PCGS at FA02 or AG3. $200. for one that grades GD04 or GD06 or VG08.
Locate and have one graded that ends up VG10 or FN12 or FN15 and I'd pay $150.
The ultimate would be a PO1 and I'd double the FA02 price and pay $500.
I know these are out in the wild.

I just live in an area where they simply are not used much and even the local post office vending rarely offers them.
I'll add now what I am sure will be offered/asked in PMs:
I don't care if you make your own. If you have the talent to toss one into a rock tumbler, or what have you and can get it graded with PCGS (not net/genuine only graded) then more power to you.
Once I have one in each of the different levels ($500. level; $250. level; $200. level, and the $150. level) then this contest ends.
Good luck!

That's right, and when you think about it a PO1 is going to be next to impossible.
I think it's a very interesting proposition and great contest Pat!!

I never understood this concept of the low-ball coolness (no offense and to each man his own)... How about you buy a roll of them and drop them off at a pre-school full of snot-nosed little kiddies on the first day of school. Let them circulate throughout and then pick them back up at the school-year's end??? That's how you'll get your P01 for the price of patience and face-value.
Now; if we could figure a way out to not have to pay $30 to have a beat-up, rubbed-down, bacteria-encrusted coin slabbed in Chinese plastic; then we strike it rich!

<< <i>I don't think it's a joke, because we've had this same conversation about Ikes, '70D Kennedies, ASE's.. I've always thought with the right combination of mechanical devices that simulate pocket wear, combined with the right combination of "gunk" to build an accumulated oxidized layer, one could wear out a new coin in a few months and get it to grade.. but I've never actually tried it, not being at the point in my life that I have the time and a workshop area to do this kind of experiment with, for example a rock tumbler filled with the target coin, scraps of denim, other coins, maybe a little saltwater and sand and ketchup, I don't know what would work, but make one and have PCGS certify it with a number grade, and I'm quite sure braddick will pay you for it.

The Ike I located and paid a reward, same with a silver eagle (graded VF20).
Here's the thread offering a reward for a worn 1970-D Kennedy.
Never had one of those presented to me.

I like your avatar braddick... The owl looks (TO MY MIND) like a Navy Seal with glowing night-vision goggles reflecting the frightened eyes of its pray, right before that branch or tree-twig, in this case, a sword says goodnight. Also, I understand folks who collect low-ball CC coinage from the 19th century to maybe even clad Ike's... But I do not yet see or feel the importance of collecting a coin that could only possibly get that circulated if it were artificially circulated or dropped off in a Foreign Country for a decade, used like it would have been 100 years ago in the USA? When the Casinos stopped using real coins the circulated dollars died. I hope you get what your looking for and no disrespect from my end, as I know you are only respected on these boards.

Get a mix of coins you interested to grind down, maybe even add a few small rocks to help the abrasion.
Put them into a small fabric pouch and drop them into the commercial drier for a few spin cycles
Then rinse and repeat ;-)
