Pure and simply a wow coin. I remember it from Sheridan's sale last year. Wanted it badly--although it didn't go for as much as I expected it was still well beyond my means at the time.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

Beyond my means too. I posted a few of the rarities I imaged for Sheridan. That O.137 R6 is spectacular.

There's been an impressive array of 1827's.

I have just one coin to add to this thread, an 1807 Small Stars O-113a (R3) in AU50.

I think the crack at s7 needs to be thicker for "b" status...

But take my comments with a grain of salt image Still a very nice coin you have there!

    Hey Brian,
I believe there was a discussion of this die state in depth and one of the determining factors that might help determine the difference between the "a" and "b" die states was the "b" state showed the development of an additional crack seen running through stars 8-12.
Here the crack can be seen developing. Look for this.

That '28 is killer, GB. Wow.

23Pairer, you're not allowed to own two bearded goddesses. Didn't you read the rules? A giveaway is necessary.

JRocco, will you just stop? How can anyone keep up? Is there any end to your set? I really want to shoot them.

    Hey Lance,
One day I will hope to own some beauties like your 13's and 14's alone.
I won't even discuss that monster 07 you picked up not that long ago.
Now I'm going to retire for the night with a nice glass of Scotch.
    Just one more.

Lance, I'm sure you've noticed that the strikes are almost identical on your 1815, and the one you were after...nice color and perhaps a bit more luster and skin on that big boy, but your 1815 definately holds it's own !
Here's my scratchy 15, and another one I owned back when...

OKBustchaser sure finished off the 1827 Overton varieties. All that is missing is the last one, O-149 R8.

This is my only ever 1815 CBH O-101a. It is now PCGS 55, formerly NGC 58.

    Beautiful coin Mozin.
I have a local guy who has an NGC 58 for sale that I believe is also closer to a 55, but he wants 58 money for the coin which you know is not inexpensive. So for now I am still missing the 1815.
    Here is a much less expensive 1835 O-108 R3

I'll toss out the rest of my "tough" 1808's...o-102 R5
The prime state of the 102 seems to be hotly contested...is the crack there or not ? For my purposes, this is 102 enough. Could I sell it as such ? Who knows...

And here is the o-110 prime...another hard to call die state I guess, but since it and the a state are both R5 (3rd edition, not BHNC), doesnt matter really.

Lastly, an o-104a that Rick Irons wrote R5 (VLDS w/unlisted die cracks) on the envelope...not sure if there is or is not such a DS. Anyone want to check on that ? image

Four hours since the last post. What do you guys have left to post?

Here is one of my very best coins, 1828 O-109 Square 2 Large 8 R3. Good luck trying to find one in PCGS 58 or better.

Nice, Mozin! And I've said before how much I enjoy seeing your 1815/2.

I have an 1828 O.109 PCGS AU58. It's from the Roger Solomon collection. I didn't realize the 109 is tough in PCGS AU58 and higher. Yours is a wonderful MS64, I see. Oh my.

Mozin and Lance incredible 1828's, didn't know the rarity of AU58 for the O-109.
....this thread is amazing because we have several forum members with great tastes in CBH's.

Hey, GB. Nice 1830 Small 0. Wow...some amazing color. Can it really be that red? That's really sweet.

This O.119, R3 is an ex-Premium Collection, Don Willis. It's a special variety for 1828. It is the only one struck from the small legend letters reverse; note also the "filled A" in AMERICA. And look closely to see that STATES was punched too far left then the WD was lapped and repunched correctly.
