Why is it...

... when I click on the links for people's eBay "me" pages these days, something like 95% of them say "About Me Page Not Found"?
It's like none of the "Me" pages are working. But the icon is still there next to a lot of people's username.
I don't know if y'all even look at 'em, but when I've got auctions up, I like to take a peek at my bidders, their feedback, what they've bought in the past, etc.

I especially look at a sellers page.......no contact info=no bid from me.

Why not just email the seller with your question if you have one? Maybe I misunderstand you, but are you suggesting that everyone who sells on eBay should put their phone number and/or address in their about me page?

Absolutely! There is no way I would list my phone number! Don't want to have a 24 hr. service line. Google is your friend in many cases!
<< <i>Pretty sure it is just because the member has not created a me page. >>
Then why is eBay showing the "me" icon?
Sure, I can look at feedback for past items purchased and so on, and use the Message feature if I need to contact someone or ask a question, but I was just wondering what was up with the Me pages lately.
I used to have one, but it became obsolete so I deleted it a few years back, and never got around to creating a new one.
when searching ebay pages it is best to start at what the url looks like and compare it to others as there are many pages that seem to switch in and out for a long time now
http://members.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=oldcollectorcoins - my sad albeit working ME page, unless i can view it but others can't
a recent change i noticed while hunting counterfeits
http://www.ebay.com/usr/ - new "my world" page
http://myworld.ebay.com/ - previous
both still work
many other pages are different from one day to the next
.
Some features have been disabled to those that surf eBay either without being a member or without being logged in.

You did not misunderstand me at all......maybe I'm old fashioned, but I want to talk to someone if there is a problem, or if I have a question.
Edited to add: and yes my phone number is on my About Me page.....and by all means if you have any questions or problems, give me a call..........
