<< <i>I was going to say the same thing as jom. Why isn't the 20P a FH? I know little about grading these, so any insight would be great.
Some very nice looking Standing Libs, Mike! >>
One thing I can tell you from personal experience: I'm not surprised Mike's 1920 didn't get CAC'd (assuming it has already been set in)...JA seems to be excessively picky on what constitutes a "gem" SLQ. The 28-S got it though.
As to the FH, I agree with you. Even with that small of a photo that sure looks FH to me...I know I've seen worse in FH holders. That one seems clear cut. It's also typical of the 1920 in that there is a full shield and the "1" in the date is weak.
The 19-S has FH possibilities as well but you can't see that one as well. Need close-ups!

It has the ear "hole" but it's hard to tell from the photo whether the hairline is totally unbroken. Maybe the graders thought it faded out too much in the area above the eye?

<< <i>Never understood the AU58+ grade..... plus to what? >>
I interpret that as just being a high-end AU58. I don't think it's that difficult.
However, I understand the confusion but that is more of a fundamental issue with the AU58 grade as it is defined....regardless of whether there is a "+" or not.
<< <i>They are beautiful . The 20 is not a FH. The 3 leaves are not present. >>
Your probably right but I can't see that in the photo. We need close-ups! C'mon Mike! What happened to those gigantic, download choking photos you usually post? lol

The only 2 ms65 SLQs that I ever submitted to CAC both beaned.
I applied to CAC for membership about a month and a half ago but decided to get some coins imaged anyway.
While the coins were at MessyDesk's home, I received my CAC package. Once I have all my submissions back from PCGS, and the coins from MessyDesk, I'll put together a submission to CAC.
I had not planned on submitting that many coins to CAC as I have always felt that this is something done immediately before selling.
Where you posted your 1927-D - I thought I's show mine off as well although its not graded as high as your's, its a decent coin, IMHO. No, it has not been sent for its Green Bean before...
