Anyone ever find any older coins in their houses?

Lets say pre-1964. I was replacing the base board moulding in my sisters room and scored a 1947 roosevelt dime a few months ago. It was laying between the edge of the wood floor and wall after I pryed the moulding off. House was built around 1950.

It is not in a house, but my father dug up an 1818 cent plowing. A school friend dug up an 1818 cent plowing. Helping another friend digging around his foundation, I found an 1818 cent. The first two were in Maine and the last was in Massachusetts about 50 feet from the New Hampshire line. All were in pretty tough shape and now I can't tell which one is which. It makes me wonder if a lot of 1818 cents came to New England.

When I first bought my house I had to gut most of the inside, including the heater and duct work. Found a small stach of silver quarters all 40's and 50's along with a few buffalos and wheat pennies. Most likely a kids stach that was long forgotten. Other then that nothing that really mattered. Oh there was also an old greating card that was never given stuffed up above the cabinets.

About 6 years ago, my then-manager was remodeling and found a trime...I forget the year.

Several years ago, while working as a house painter and involved in the renovation of an old Victorian home in Salinas, I found a bright red 1909 Lincoln cent between the wood floor and the carpet we were ripping out. It was just as bright and red as if it would have been if minted the day before. I ended up giving it to on of the younger guys I had hired to help out on the job.

I dug up an 185? large cent in my back yard about 10 years ago. In the same shovel load was a couple of clay marbles and a button. Along with some broken glass. I wondered at the time if it were some kids buried treasure. My house is about 105 years old, the cent was pretty corroded.

I also have a 1947 Roosie, left in my basement in a little nook facing east when my house was built I believe, C. 1947-49. Coin is 55 details and black as coal and crusty. Original Environmental Damage. I like it.
