Went to a coin show today in Manchester. Looked at lot of capped bust half dimes, including many I had not seen before (two dealers with decent selection were new to this show). Here's what I bought:
............
Striking out in my main area of interest I gave it one last shot by viewing some classic large cents at the table of the ever-so-nice Tom Reynolds. He had some nice coins, but most didn't fit my grade, quality, or price goals (mostly I didn't have enough money for the one coin I really liked, an 1808 in an NGC 40 holder).
So no dice on copper either
Sadly, Dave and Kelsey from HLRC were not there this time.
I did get to briefly chat with Warren Mills of RCNH, a pleasure. I also spent time talking with Ron Chiasson (sorry if I got that wrong, Ron, going of memory here) and his son Mike. Darkstar found me on the bourse too. I lamented the slim pickings to him too.
Summer ANA is my next show. Better luck awaits. I will have to save my money and visit Mr Reynolds in August!
