<< <i>eBay fixed price listings cost 20¢ each cheap advertising!!!!!
And they are not the only ones that list items that way and never plan to sell them on that site. >>
Good point. Just sold an MS 70 PCGS ASE on eBay for $82, discounted from $89.95, that was on website for $120, that already sold out of the store. My nephew is so in trouble right now... .
Expensive to operate business, but ebay is cheap advertising. This place is even cheaper advertising, and a good confessional. Oh, and the coin is "REALLY FABULOUS".
<< <i>Just curious...am I the only one who thinks that coin won't cross at 65? >>
it won't with those scratches on it. i would be really shocked if that crossed. there is a much nicer looking coin on doug winter's site for 43K at ms61 with a bean.
42 certified 1879 and 1880 $4 "Stella" pattern gold pieces with a combined estimated value of over $5 million;
130 round and octagonal 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition $50 gold commemoratives valued at over $5 million; and 168 High Relief 1907 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles valued at over $3 million."
I think that the contributors to this thread should view this coin in actuality and/or consult grading experts who have done so, before publicly commenting on it.
In any event, I have written about the Eliasberg-O’Neal 1909-O Half Eagle, for those who are interested in the more newsworthy members of this series.
