Is this piece of metal US or British?

I am sure not worth much of anything either way but I just would like to know. I have been leaving through Redbook but I think too much is missing.

British-ish. If it was found in the US, there is a good chance it may be an evasion copper.

It appears to be a Georgius Triumpho Token around 1783.
Edit to say ,,,No it isn't this one.

My WAG. It's an English halfpence or farthing.

British halfpenny of George III. 1770-something. You can even see part of the date. Obviously a dug coin- I wouldn't be surprised if it was somebody's detector find, though on which side of the pond, who knows.

PS- looks like a regal issue halfpenny to me. NOT a penny- copper pennies weren't struck until the massive steam-struck "Cartwheel" issues of 1797. Not a Georgius Triumpho, either, as far as I can tell. Nor does it appear to be an evasion copper. It's just a normal regal issue Brit halfpenny of the period.
