bought some good stuff at the Red River Valley coin show today

Attended the Red River Valley coin show today in Fargo and made some good deals.
I traded a beat up 1822 dime for an AU 1881-S double eagle, purchased an AU 1897 half eagle for $440 and bought 10 mixed date BU silver Eagles for $33 each.
My most interesting purchases of the day were national bank notes from Norman county in Minnesota where I live. I purchased a $10 Ada note in XF one of 10 known, a $10 Halstad note in XF one of 12 known and a $20 type 2 note from Twin valley in fine which is unique. The notes cost me $2,250 but I now have all the towns in my county and was very fortunate to locate these. They became available because a long time collector decided to liquidate his small size notes and hang on to his large size ones.
There was a fairly good crowd there and business seemed pretty good, collector coins were selling but not as good as silver and gold. There also was a big currency auction to be held there tonight by Lyn Knight featuring North Dakota national bank notes from former PMG lead grader Glen Jorde's personal collection.

Living in the Colorado Sun Belt, I've indulged myself more than anybody had ought and now it is evident at what cost.
Thank you for not reminding me of the sumptuous NoDak pastries which we have also missed. Best in the world IMO.
