well someone said this was a error cause of the left over metal on the coin but i can't remeber what it is called

any help would be nice

    It's either a lamination error or post-strike damage. It's hard to tell which from the photo.

    ya, i've seen a few coins with pmd that looked nearly exactly like lamination and had to get the right lighting angles to confirm

    my take on this is that during the cutting out of the blanks this one was not cut right or something and was minted with the extra metal attached

    die crack doesn't fit the overall look of the area

    lamination most likely
