"Blaming Probstein for shill bidders is like blaming Budweiser for drunk drivers IMO." At least this guys gets it.
I just dont get the entire "we must bash Probstein" mentality. I have never bought anything off of him so I cant speak for his business practices, but his feedback seems clean other than a few people complaining about shipping discounts. 10k items a month, you cant control everyones bidding activities. I think people on here need to reread the new rules and get off his sack.
Come on folks . . . the guy runs a business of SELLING and does a pretty darn good job at it. It is NOT and I repeat NOT his responsibility to police eBay. He already answered the question in the PM to wrestlingcardking that he "blocked the bidders account and would not knowingly relist the card in question (the one won by the shiller)" in question. What else do you want the guy to do, start giving cards away? No that wouldn't be good enough because some of you would complain that it's not packaged properly. Give the guy a break.

LMFAO!!!! Isn't a shill bidder supposed to bid a card UP, and not at a 40% discount?!?!?!?! Damn.....I knew I should have read that handbook better......dumbass......
Bidding on your own auction is still bidding on your own auction. Granted in the scheme of things, there were multiple bidders higher than yours and you sold at a loss but I do think that some people woulld question a "safety bid" or a "shill" whatever you want to call it.

<< <i>You did bid it UP. You can't bid on your own item, and it makes no difference whether you originally bought it for $1 or $1000. >>
If I paid $1,000 for a card one month ago, do you think I am going to absolutely hate it at $500??? I bid on alot of cards. I use ONE CLICK BID. Alot of times I don't even look at the seller. I accidentally bid on the card. I see a card that I think is an absolute steal, and I bid on it. I am a VCP member and I see what the current average is on the card. The winning bidder got it for darn near $150 under the average selling price. It was an accident. I would have LOVED to have that card for $600. At $710 the winning bidder absolute stole the card.

So Bobby did in fact bid on the card he consigned. The $600 bid. Here we go again. >>
