  DO NOT dip this coin. Keep it as is. A coin this old looks nice with a tone. Dipping will make it look too new.
  
  I like it, lots of die cracks on the reverse.

  That looks like an old nickel, not a new one. No need to dip that one. Nice cracks.

  I checked it for varieties, but don't see any. 1870 is a very interesting year for varieties.

  No dip! I love this series because you find so many with die cracks and doubling and other assorted weird stuff. I like it.

  Nice pick up ! I love the sharp strike in combination with the die cracks...... must have been struck soon after the die gave way
