New addition: 1892 Colombian Expo Half

This is perhaps one of my favorite commemorative coins.

Designed by Olin Levi Warner (dunno why the redbook says Olin Levi), the obverse was engraved by Charles Barber, and the reverse by George Morgan. While you may not of heard of the designer, the engravers were famous for the barber series, and the Morgan dollar.

There is a lot of history behind this coin. It was also minted 100 years before my birthday.

Tonight I present to you a 1892 Colombian Expo Half Dollar. Graded MS-63 by PCGS. Nice toning on this one.

Great Collections Pics are not that great, and my camera is not either. Will probably send it in for true view this spring.

I like how the toning has filled in most of the lines on the hemispheres.
