Population of non-CC GSA Dollars

The non-CC GSA hardpacks that have been graded are included in the NGC population reports, and the variety is designated as gsa. The total number released by the GSA was estimated as 28,000, but no one documented the number of each date included in the 28,000. One can estimate the total coins included for each date by looking at the number graded for each date. Here is a listing of the coins graded, by date, with the rarest first:

The dates with the lowest number graded sell for the highest premiums. There are some dates that have not been graded yet. The dates with the most graded sell for the lowest premiums.

There were 97,591 soft pack gsa coins packaged and sold. Again, no one knows how many coins of each date were included in the total.

My information tells me that the soft packs were sold in the "Potluck" sale of June 1st to
July 31st, 1973. They sold for $3 each. No dates were recorded as far as numbers. That
sale also included all the non-cc issued in hard packs at $5 each. All were sold during this
period.
