Washington Quarter experts!! Whutcha think of this one?

1932-D, or is it?
I'm certainly no expert, but somehow this D looks like it's facing downward a tad and that's a lot of real estate inside of it, no?

I don't know anything about washington quarters except:

    1932-D is the key.
1932-D is known to be counterfeited.

So my very question when I saw this was "why isn't this in a holder?"

  • The fact that the seller states the coin "was" going to be graded, kind of worries me. I would be very cautious to buy the key date of the Washington series in the raw.

However, eBay DOES have a 45 day"buyer protection" policy. If you bought the coin, and it came back body bagged, I bet you could get your $$ back, save for the grading fee.

    No serif's on the D. That's a tell.

Yeah, I know. As if that was supposed to make a possible bidder feel more comfy, right? lol

I'm no beginner with eBay and Pay Pal, so that's not a prob for me, but buying and returning and waiting for your monies to go back into your account always sucks.

    I'll come up with something.
