Just what I need. Motivation to upgrade my Type B Anonymous. Thanks a lot, Dude. image

You can do a search for Anonymous and see what I have posted previously. A really nice series, actually.

I've always thought those were neat, particularly with patina on 'em. image

Here is a Byzantine follis I had on my Holey Coin Vest. Didn't get 'round to selling it in my recent breakup of most of that collection, so it's still here somewhere.

It's a huge sucker (see second image, the scan, for scale against a US dime).

I dunno the attribution on it. Somebody here told me, once, but I forgot. It looks like the emperor was named Justinian, but weren't there several Justinians? Any ideas?

Michael ("Aethelred") spotted it on the bourse floor at a show we were attending, and asked if I wanted it for twenty bucks. I said sure- you bet!

Ha, funny coincidence, since it appears I just won this Justinian I tremissis in the CNG auction. I liked the portrait on it. Funny how much it differs from the facing portrait on the follis above.
