I am not interested in this coin, but was just wondering if there is anything that could be done to correct the damage on this coin without ruining the look?

PS - There are a few small spots of verdigris of my new brass ex-Mauretania turbine blade. Anyone want to advise me? I am against any kind of polishing btw - I sought this one because it had NOT been polished as the other three I have seen in the last 12 years.

Not me (Feeling no Love) I feel it is not the grade on the holder with that carbon spot damage.
I am not surprised it didn't sell. I wouldn't touch it with a 39 1/2 foot pole.
It probably needs to be returned to NGC under their grading guarantee. NCS may or may not be able to do anything about it.
