  Nothing. Many times the S Mint Marks on 1940s Mercs look really weird when photos or lighting isn't just right. When I started viewing Mercs online a few years ago, I learned this pretty quick. This example is completely normal in lot viewing besides being beautiful and semi-proof like.

  Absolutely! I loved the coin and if I had a crap load of spare cash, I too would have been a bidder on this common date Merc with very uncommon eye appeal.
