Common Date REALLY NICE MERC from the HA Sale - Sold for Strong Money

1943-S NGC MS67FB *
I viewed this coin in Lot Viewing and was very interested. It is semi-proof like. I don't know why Heritage fudged the reverse photo but the reverse looks like the obverse.
Sold for more than 2x PCGS Price Guide. Just a stunning example.

<< <i>What's going on with the mintmark? Looks a little off. >>
Nothing. Many times the S Mint Marks on 1940s Mercs look really weird when photos or lighting isn't just right. When I started viewing Mercs online a few years ago, I learned this pretty quick. This example is completely normal in lot viewing besides being beautiful and semi-proof like.

Absolutely! I loved the coin and if I had a crap load of spare cash, I too would have been a bidder on this common date Merc with very uncommon eye appeal.
