I spent 6 ikes on 4 tacos

I had some fun today spending some extra clad Ike dollars at taco bell.
On 4 tacos, my total was $5.53...I pull up to the window....
And a spanish guy got a handfull of 6 Ike dollars..he closes the window, turns around and yells " WHAT THE F%CK ARE THESE!???"
A manager comes over and examines the coins and yells to the other kids working "WHERE DO PEOPLE FIND THESE!??"
She gave me my change and my 4 tacos. Uncertain of what she actually just got paid in.
Next time, some SBA $1's and narly silver certificates

Scary thought regarding the future generations!

I tipped a waitress with 3 ikes after lunch last week . I like to use them as tips because those that aren't jaded always flip them around and you can hear it from the other side of the restaurant clinking in an apron pocket.
On my way out as I walked by the bar I heard her asking an old man if he had ever seen any of them before .
He replies "check the dates are any of them 73's? "
that was some years ago allthough!

Good grief, let's not get hysterical. All past generations had their share of uneducated, mindless workers. Future generations will be just fine.
<< <i>Try one of them new trillion dollar coins next time and see what happens.

it does make me sad, sad for the schmuck that recorded & posted it. always easy to poke fun at someone that doesn't know something you do and i have NEVER met someone that I didn't know something they didn't, and probably visa-versa.
i also ripped this guy (previously) as it may have cost her the job she had to accept it and gold is not worth so much an ounce that it is worth losing a job over (or risking it) and to post the video for all to see.
i wonder if he knows how much pollution that dumptruck of his puts out; what does it get, like 5-7mpg. there are much better ways to prove a point than to make someone feel dumb - this kind of goes why i've backed off people selling counterfeits (at least poking at them). since i am not a mind reader i cannot say whom knows and whom doesn't. let the powers in charge make the decision and/or the authorities. - easy solution, take the high road.
also the link has already been posted in this thread and many times on the forum.

We've bred a few generations of entitled complacent ignorants. Not that this is a bad thing mind you as its not their faults. It's ours for demanding that so much be done for us that our offspring no longer know how to think for themselves.

They cuffed him to a pole or something until the police got there.
I'm not sure I want to get roughed up over 6 Ikes
From her point of view (and everyone she knows) it's a PITA that they feign interest in so as not to hurt the dude's feelings
If they buy it from the till, it's usually to avoid the inconvenience of a "weird" bank deposit and not because they collect
YMMV, and no, this doesn't refer to silver coins, just stuff worth face, such as above and 'golden' dollars, etc

The ones with kids have monster piggy banks for each of them, the ones that don't enjoy the simple painless savings plan. They get them from a few of us regulars and the VFW folks and always ask. This is a place where I paid my tab and tip with a peace dollar a couple months ago, but yeah, I guess that's just what they're telling me.
