What coin should I buy for my 7070?
I find myself with a little extra money in my Paypal account and a few coins to sell. The total will be about $200-$250 or so. I was looking at my long neglected Dansco 7070 the other night and have decided to fill one or two of the holes. I'm trying to stay XF-AU for the 19th century coins and still need quite a few. I've narrowed it down to a 2¢, 1864 CN or bronze IHC, a 20¢, one of the half cents, a shield nickel or an upgrade to one of my crappy, hole-filler Barbers. I'm leaning heavily toward a 2¢. For $250, I could probably get a common date in decent MS or stick with AU and buy couple coins. What would you do?

I don't have any active set I am working on right now; I sure miss the hunt.
Good luck with what ever you decide.

<< <i>I'd go with what ever is the best deal (what you can find). I personally would favor the 20 cent piece, but that would depend on what I could find. It sure is fun when you are on the hunt.

I've found that when I do that, I'm usually not thrilled with the result. I do much better when I narrow things down very tightly and then focus on that. For example, If I decide on a 2¢, I'll research it, settle on a date, the grade I want, the look I want and I'll know prices inside and out. If I just start looking without a solid plan, I'll buy a nice, eye-appealing coin, but I'll probably overpay.
