She walked up to me at a show today and said I'm yours!

coinsarefun · December 16, 2012 9:23AM

Congratulations!!!!! You found the elusive Russian sickle taped toned variety

The obverse looks like the Russian sickle emblem

Broadstruck · December 16, 2012 9:26AM

The reverse stunned me for a moment... Almost like I wouldn't know which 1 of the 8 paths to take?

LanceNewmanOCC · December 16, 2012 9:27AM

.
i don't know if it is honest or not but it sure looks darn cool!

ty for that term, i thought the thing was a scythe!

silverman68 · December 16, 2012 9:29AM

Get it into a slab just to take the question out about the toning or its just a $35 eagle, but it is interesting.

coindeuce · December 16, 2012 9:29AM

I've already declared this one "Sun-Moon Beachball"

AUandAG · December 16, 2012 9:46AM

I would czall that the czarist revolution!
bob

messydesk · December 16, 2012 9:50AM

That's a weird one. The reverse looks like it was sitting in an empty plastic strawberry container on top of a piece of cardboard.

barrytrot · December 16, 2012 9:52AM

Is it NT? It looks "too perfect" but I don't see any obvious color problems. This could be a pretty high-premium coin in PCGS plastic!

sniocsu · December 16, 2012 10:06AM

Interesting

steelielee · December 16, 2012 10:49AM

When you come to a fork in the tonng...take it.....

dtkk49a · December 16, 2012 11:02AM

I really like it, but I just don't see PCGS slabbing it. I'm not saying another TPG wouldn't.

Justlooking · December 16, 2012 12:56PM

Kind of a Union Jack thing going on with the reverse. Interesting.

joeykoins · December 16, 2012 10:31PM

Nice and certainly different. Imagine, explaining this coin to a non-collector?

he sighed

I always referred to the hand held thingy as a sickle; the big 2 hand version was a scythe.

lcoopie · December 16, 2012 10:40PM

I don't think it would pass
