Really, they are kind of nice even though they are somewhat hard to store. I hope the mintages continue to drop and make them more interesting.
Not because I dislike them (or those who collect them) - don't get me wrong, the designs are gorgeous! - it's just that they're other coins I'd rather purchase...
*hint* my username.

I take them out of the box before putting them in my safe. Boxes are stored in the closet.
I really like these things. For the most part the designs are lovely and look great on the large coins.
I hope I live long enough to complete the set!

<< <i>Just got the Mint catalog today. I see that all 5 2012 issues are priced at $204.95.
OOP's! Mint Catalog has an incorrect price. They are $229.95 not $204.95!!
Can't the Mint get anything right?
I love the weight, the detail, the spot price, & the sealed five packs;
the remaining pucks I have via the Mint's goodwill at providing the initial issue in a chaotic fashion.

I collect them as well. I buy one on the day of issue. There are at least three of us who will buy the whole series.

Sorry for a third post in a row, but I just had to say that I love Miles' post - that last line is just so spot on!
