Do you have a coin that you had slabbed, that makes others scratch their heads?
Mine is a 1970-D PCGS AU 58 double struck in collar.
It was found by my grandfather and submitted to the author of error coins magazine. It was authenticated by Allen Levy, and returned accompanied with a personal note from Allen offering to buy the coin!
One of the first shows I attended I carried it in my shirt pocket. I was so proud. One error dealer said I was dumb to waste my money to slab this coin. I politely smiled... And spent the $2000 dollars in my pocket at other tables!
I paid $60 to have it slabbed. But the sentimental value is priceless.

PCGS holder, about 12-15 years old, at least,
with a CRICKET sealed in it!
It was given to me by a grader (who shall remain
unnamed) who said the darn cricket was driving
the Graders in the Grading Room crazy.
When they finally caught it, he thought to
memorialize the event!
Altlhough I have some cool errors in slabs,
this is probably one of the coolest slabs I have....

Would you ever consider a crackout on your cricket?
in the next hour - if not, tomorrow morning.
I don't think I've ever posted a scanned coin
here before, so I hope we can do it right......
And as far as "Crackin' Out the Cricket" -
it's gotten somewhat more dried out over
the past 10+ years, and it looks pretty fragile.
So, not only will I not Crack It Out, I now have
to "Handle Me With Care" (Travelin' Willbury's)
<< <i>That is too funny Fred!! I received an unsealed NGC holder a few years ago and sent it back to a grader there with a big red eyed ciceda in it!! When he received it called and said it was still moving!! >>
Should have sent a blue-eyed one. The pops on those are much lower.
I heard once that there was a 1794 dollar with 100% clip "in" a non-third world slab once. Any truth to this?

PCGS Cricket Holder uploaded to the file, but we
are unable to attach it to the thread................
Can someone email us an easy step by step way
to attach images from the attach file ?
Alternatively, you can email it to a member (pm me if you like) and they could post it for you.

I'm not sure if 2ltdjorn's "technology is not always friendly to the older folks" comment was directed at me, but I just turned 33, which doesn't seem that old these days!
Glad I could contribute to the thread in some small way.
