Digital Microscope - Does anyone have one?

I saw an add for a digital microscope and wanted to know if anyone here has one.
If so, is it worth the cost to get?

It's great and yet it's odd for me looking at a coin on the monitor for analysis, when it just takes a few seconds with the loupe.
It's cumbersome, but useful. I do not like that it saves the pictures in a bmp instead of jpeg. I have to manually switch that over when cropping photos and doing any color corrections if necessary (photographic in nature, not doctoring for resale)
Then again, I'm archaic in computing, too.

use a program like "snip" that comes with vista and win7.
PrtScn SysRq works but takes a few seconds longer. just hit that button and then open paint and press ctrl+v and viola

On the down side of the one we have is getting the lighting to work out. The internal lights are either on or off, no way to adjust. To capture the detail we want, the camera needs to be so close to the target that it is a pain to get the external light source in the right position.
Photo of type of camera and copy stand that we use

i have one and like it.
it def has the light limitations for coins, but the LEDs do a good job.
i use it for more than just coins.
i got mine for ~$100 less than your linked ad, last year.

ya, they can be found all day under $65. best to get the ones that go to 300x or more. 200x is weird, that is why the one i purchased that goes to 200x is on the shelf since day one
but the 200x comes with a dynamite software package, stellar really
.
...here's some vid info on them.
that would be nice to have. i had to make one its not the best...
300X is nice
i just want to say to those ooohing and ahhhing over those stands, please do not attempt to use these as camera substitutes since they are barely 1 notch above a scanner in image quality
the only purpose after nearly 3 years of using my digi-scope with the stand was to do large volume and slide the coins under the scope while looking at the screen freeing up both my hands
99.9% of the rest of the time the scope needs to be as close to the item as possible, most often touching and this goes for ms and proof coins. just be careful.
if you have your scope more than 1.5 inches away from the coin you are probably not using the scope for its intended purpose.
hope it helps
