You obviously don't know squat about the New York Yankees. Why is it that Philly keeps thinking the Yanks are the Mets? Do that and you get spanked out of a World Series in 6 games.

I think it is only baseball (well maybe a little bit in football) where you find large numbers of fans being so enthusiastic [publicly, vocally and demonstrably so] about the commencement of training camp for the next season within hours (if not minutes or seconds) of the completion of the game that determines the champion of the current season.
For these baseball fans November, December, January and early February must be a very lonely, desolate, unhappy time
