Lewis and Clark Pouches

I am trying to find a list of all the tribes that made pouches for the 2004 coin and pouch program. Is there such a list? Even better would be a list that included the artists from each tribe. Can someone please post a list or a link to where I might find one? I have googled it to death and can't find anything except the recall.

Dang, that's one heck of a lot of different pouches! What kind of leather? Did the Gov't provide
the leather or did the tribe or artist? Just curious.

The hickory smoke scent of these was aromatic. I remember the mint warning in the OGP to separate the two or end up with problems with the coins , potentially. Anyone else remember that ? I wonder if anyone didn't take heed and stored their coin outside of the capsule and in the pouch. Bet it looks "crazy sick" by now. image

I purchased 4 at the time and they each graded MS 69. I gave them to my partners and kept one. Each pouch was uniquely different and unless I were to go back and ask my partners, I'm pressed for remembering which tribes they came out of. There were several tribes commissioned in the production of the Lewis & Clark commemorative Coin and Pouch sets, as I recall.
  • Beautiful collection, my dream is to put something like that together but the real nice ones rarely come up for sale.

  • The indians had to provide the leather and it had to be deer, elk, or buffalo

I remember stating here this would happen as soon as I heard about the leather pouch. This was before the OGP insert.
