Unexpected numismatic connection

I'm currently studying for a term at Magdalen College at Oxford in the UK. I got in a discussion with one of the girls I'm living with, and happened to bring up the topic of coins (usually not a winning move with the ladies, but sometimes they find it interesting). She seemed unusually enthused, saying "My great uncle was a famous coin collector!"
Naturally, I asked what his name was.

An authorized PCGS dealer, and a contributor to the Red Book.
When teaching a numismatics course at UT-Austin, one of the students turned out to be Hugh Sconyers' daughter (or niece, I forget). Fast forward a few months later and Dave Bowers commented to me that she had shared much of the class with him. The two of them were fast friends as well ... small world.
