What is a fair price for a 2008-W Buff. 1/4 ounce in ICG MS-70

I have an opportunity to buy a MS-70 Unc. 2008-W gold Buffalo and want to pay a fair price, but also not get ripped off. What have these been trading at? Ebay doesn't offer me much info and the only other gold coin I own is a gold Cali. fractional I found in a asking lot I posted about a year ago. I primarily collect Texas tokens and medals along with foreign coins and paper with some baseball cards. Thanks- Texas Token

I would probably offer what a pcgs MS69 has been going for on the bay.

The "70" with them will not likely be worth over raw. Retail 1200-1250 IMO

I'd think the seller probably wants $1500 - 1600 for the 70 grade, but that's not a price I'd pay.

    Hope this helps!

I followed these over the last year and have seen some erosion in ebay prices overall, with some going in better recognized TPG slabs at 70 for as low as 1190 (one sold for 1+ but can't remember 69 vs. 70).
I then discovered that I actually had this coin in OGP bought directly from the mint, so stopped looking!

In PCGS or NGC plastic, I wouldn't take less than $1,350 for MS-70 if I were selling. I track these, and don't have any record of an ICG slab ever selling since I began tracking.

By comparison, the last 5 or so ANACS MS-70 slabs have sold in a range between $1,140 and $1,375. As 7Jaguars noted, the prices have drifted lower for awhile, but haven't dropped precipitously. It seems to be a reasonable time to buy if you are so inclined.
