Any reason to not cross?

I have a coin currently in an "NGC Generation 7" holder which is slightly tilted and it irritates me. It has a bit of a provenance established (previously "The Harvey Collection", then "The New York Connoisseur" sale, but I haven't tried tracking it further).
Is there any reason to not cross it to PCGS at this point? Part of me feels that the holder plays a part in some of the provenance, but I would probably be happier if it wasn't tilted in the holder. As another data point, the coin is a high R6 and I wouldn't want to pollute the population counts - does PCGS inform NGC when they cross a coin or do I have to do something for it myself?
Thanks!

<< <i>You can tilt the coin back. Do some searches on turning coins in slabs and figure out which way you're comfortable using. >>
