Anyone have an idea how many san francisco 2 coin sets were canceled?

  I don't think there is any way to know, unless you worked for the mint. That being said, I'm guessing it will be 50,000 or more. Perhaps this would be a good oppertunity for a forum poll. Although it will probably be a while before the mint releases numbers.
  
  I purchased 3 sets right away and another 10 close to the end of the order period. The mint website says my order has a target shipping date of tomorrow. Since I still have a cancel box, I'm not expecting that.
  
  I talked to another small dealer at a coin show, and he thinks he will be buying these at less than issue price before long. This is from a dealler that follows moderns closely. Part of the reason I'm keeping my order, is it seems like a lot of dealers are staying away from this issue. I'm thinking at upcoming shows, even if there is a small demand for the product, I will be one of the only places to get one. When all is said and done, I think this set will contain the 2nd lowest Proof issue, and the 2nd lowest Rev. Proof issue. I don't think Silver Eagle collecting is going away any time soon, so I don't think I'm taking too much of a risk by keeping my order. Time will tell, but I must admit being a little nervious with the low rate people are currently getting on ebay, and another floud about to hit.

  Coin Vault sells them raw for $199. They said they bought pallets of them.
