Did PCGS Secretly Start Slabbing SC$?

Did PCGS secretly start slabbing So-Called Dollars? There are at least six up on Teletrade tonight:

HK-335, HK-336, HK-347, HK-449 and HK-450 and HK-825.

If so, this is an exciting change in policy!

I knew it because I called in and ask how the Dimes by Greer was doing and was told that the SCD's were up first.

Here's one of mine that has a CoinFacts image:

HK-399 Silver Pan-Pac Medal

Thought it had an awesome look for something they graded XF40 and for a medal where only a couple thousand were made.

Does anybody know if there is a Registry set for these. I looked and could not find them. I did find the Medals set. There are just 10 in the medal set. How do they decide which ones are graded and go in these sets. I have a John Wayne medal I wouldn't mind slabbing.

This appears to be a relatively new development. The links on CoinFacts need some work.

From what I have determined is that the new coin numbers for SCDs start at 642001.

The bad news is that this is going to cost me a bunch of money!

Does anybody know if the grading fees are the same as regular submissions? I can't seem to find anything on the PCGS website!

It is listed in cert verification correctly.

I did a thread back in early 2010 when a 1920 Wilson Dollar MS62 PCGS. HK-449 crossed Heritage and figured they might be heading in this direction.

It took me a while to figure how to find the cert number from the photograph. I take it that coin facts gets updated separately from the certification database or that the link has not been established yet.

I can't wait to get my SCDs in for grading. Anybody have a link to the fee schedule for SCDs?

I bought the medal already slabbed in the pre-Long Beach Goldberg auction earlier this month. I ended up having to pay around $125 to win the piece and had no clue if that was way too high or whether it was a great deal... didn't care too much either because I thought it was cool enough to spend that much, regardless of what it's really worth. I didn't even know there was a CoinFacts photo of the piece until after I won it and then looked it up, that was a nice bonus
