I was going to do the same thing with that coin... I was the underbidder in the auction last week.
Some coins don't work well in a 7 day auction... not everyone that wants that coin and wants to pay a big plastic premium happens to come on and look at eBay during that particular week. Just relist it in a Buy it Now and wait until the right customer comes along and the price will go up. Might take a week, might take month or two.
<< <i>Cool, I hope they can make that extra $250.00. Nothing to see here. >>
Agree. Coin dealers buy coins and resell them for a profit all the time. Not sure what the big deal is here.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

I am almost positive I was the underbidder on this coin at the auction house a couple weeks ago. Thought I would pick up for cheap but another bidder kept it going and I stopped at 125.00. Ouch................Enjoy

No big deal other than to point out that if you were wanting it and paying attention that you could have gotten it for a lot less than this guy is asking.

The PCGS price guide has that coin at $475. Not sure why you'd expect to get it for $125.
<< <i>They bought it on Aug 15th for $50 at TT so they got at least $50, plus $8 juice plus $5.75 shipping in it. That's almost $64. Hardly worth it IMO. >>

ahhh, the rolling-forward loss theory, gotcha . >>
Unless one got the coin at melt, it's hard to see how one could have it graded and still consign to TT and make money at $50 minus fees.

I feel better now, I know I looked up the doily I was bidding on and the price was 55 dollars, so this is not the one I was bidding on and thats why I stopped at 125. Don't have the link anymore but know it was a peace dollar............Enjoy
I have found deep breathing to be a great benefit. Sweating is good, too, although that comes after rigorous exercise. Whew. my fingers are tired. Be back soon.
good for the seller. Looks like a nice coin and a pretty tough holder as well. Lots more then I would pay but I sure would have no issue selling it for what I thought the market price was.
