To keep it manageable and to be nice to the dialuppers, lets break this into 3 threads. Here is part 3 of 3.

Coin 14:
Actual grade: MS63 My grade MS65, Ilini's grade MS64:
This is a heckuva nice 63!
Coin 15:
Actual grade: MS66 My grade MS65, Ilini's grade MS65:
I tend to grade harder on the O mints, as I like the fully stuck S mints better.
Coin 16:
Actual grade: MS63 My grade MS63, Ilini's grade au58:
I did see some friction on the egale's claw and on Liberty's head, but I do not call it as actual circulation wear.
Coin 17:
Actual grade: MS61 My grade MS62, Ilini's grade MS62:
C'mon, what's the diff? Coin definately was baggy.
Coin 18:
Actual grade: MS63FB My grade MS65FB, Ilini's grade MS67FB:
I'm at a loss on this one. Althjough njot as nice as coin #1, I did not think it was a whole 4 points worse.

Guess we all agree on this one. A hammer struck buffie.
Coin 20: No pic, but as I recall it was a $5 gold Liberty.

I disagree with PCGS and Illini on this one, as I recall distinct rub on the eagle's claw if its the coin I remember. I was thinking to myself I am probably gonna get this one wrong.....

I thought 64FB when I first saw it. The reverse chatter in the field keeps it out of Gem category in my opinion. Is the mark on the obverse at 12 o'clock a die crack or a hit?

I had it as a liner between 64 and 65, only because of the spots. Absent the spots I would have gone with 66.
The Merc was a real surprise. I thought 66FB as that rev chatter kept it from 67. I could even see a 65. But 63? Must be some hidden wiping/hairlines.
Didn't think the 1923-s Peace Dollar could be a 65 even though it looked clean enough for a 66. Big dollar coin in 65 and they don't usually give that away unless well
struck and with good eye appeal. I thought a 64 was brutal enough. They must have knocked one pt off for strike and then another for the spotting.
