in light of the rather valuable items that have been shown in this forum this year with what some consider damage, nothing would surprise me!
case in point. the 1916 5c ddo with the loop on it and the 1892- micro O 50c that had something done to it

Type 2 reverse so almost certainly a 77-S or 78-S. Could also be a 75-S or 76-S but less likely. All known S/CC reverse dies are type 1.
